Neal leads the company’s finance and corporate development initiatives. He has worked with dozens of life sciences clients as they transitioned through various growth phases and important strategic transactions such as IPOs, M&A transactions, and other equity and debt financings.  

Previously, Neal was a Vice President in Citi’s Global Healthcare Investment Banking practice, and helped start up the West Coast practice with two other bankers, raising over $4bn in equity and debt capital for biotechnology clients. His experiences as a consulting engagement manager at Optiant, a Boston-based Battery Ventures backed supply chain software start up, resulted in over $200mm in working capital savings for F500 healthcare and consumer clients by using multi-echelon inventory optimization and supply chain network design software technology developed at M.I.T.  Most recently, Neal led DaVita Healthcare Partners’ Strategic Finance function for DaVita Rx, a specialty pharmacy operation with over $500mm in revenues, where he was responsible for implementing their 5 year long range financial planning process.  

Neal has an M.B.A with concentrations in Finance and Entrepreneurship from the Carnegie Mellon University David Tepper School of Business where he was a Swartz Fellow, and a B.S.E. In Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
